It's time to get cosy! The late summer sunshine is fading, and there is a chill in the air.
Time to light the candles, create a cosy reading corner and add some autumnal decor to your home.

The weather turned on Sunday, so we lit the log burner and the candles and had a cosy afternoon on the sofa.

What a week it's been. Sooooo busy! And yesterday I think I had every appointment known to man. I think I circumnavigated Suffolk about seven times yesterday. 🤪

But it's Friday and I'm looking forward to a slower paced weekend.

Maybe a bit of pampering? Breakfast in bed? A bit of shopping maybe - I am already temped by all the autumn cosy jumpers and boots! Do you do a bit of baking at the weekends? I've been batch baking crumbles for the autumn and winter months. Maybe your off on a lovely dog walk - followed by a pub lunch or coffee shop stop? I always need either one of those after a long walk 😄

🍂 A U T U M N V I B E S 🍂

I love this time of year - with back to school (college for us), I always feel like it's a little fresh start. I love starting a fresh notebook for my ideas (both home and business), having a mini spring clean of the house, and start to make my home cosy for the months ahead.

I've recently discovered a couple of new independent coffee shops that I will be making the most of this Autumn - whether it's to catch up with friends, spend a couple of hours working in there or to enjoy a coconut milk latte (my new fav) whilst I read a book. This last one is something I've probably done once or twice in my life as it feels totally indulgent to me. 😊 Do you get it, or are you totally comfortable with having a spare hour or two to yourself to read in a coffee shop? ☕📕 Let me know in the comments.

I love this time of year - with back to school (college for us), I always feel like it's a little fresh start. I love starting a fresh notebook for my ideas (both home and business), having a mini spring clean of the house, and start to make my home cosy for the months ahead.

Happy Hump Day lovelies! 🤩

As we come into the latter stages of summer, there are so many simple things I want to enjoy before we're cooped up inside for the autumn/winter months.

This summer seems to have gone so fast, and back to school is almost upon us when routine will run our days and the long, lazy days of summer will soon be a collection of pics on our phones. 📸

So I for one want to make the most of the last warm days of summer. Sitting outside for as many meals as possible, and enjoying my book in my swing chair for an afternoon. (tbh, I'll be lucky if I get an hour, but an afternoon reading sounds better) 😊

Are you with me or is your head already in pumpkins and hot chocolate? I love autumn, but I love summer too, so want to make the most of it before autumn creeps in. And then I'll be all over the cosy vibes! 🍂

Happy Monday lovelies, hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I'm hoping this week will be better as last week was a bit rubbish. I had either the flu or Covid. Hadn't heard of Coved in ages, until I had to cancel a couple of catch-ups last week and friends said they were beginning to hear about people getting it again. Hope you're all ok. 😘

So I'm looking forward to a productive and healthier week this week. Didn't manage to workout last week, so hopefully I can get a few workouts in. 🤞

I've got a couple of house projects I need to kick start and I've got some new products to pop on my website as well as start to plan my Christmas collection. Eek! 😜

I also have a new project to give some thought to. It was an idea that came to me from an observation my daughter made when we were out at the coast this summer. Needs a lot of research but could be exciting... 🤔

How are we all today? I've got to be honest, I'm already missing my holiday. I'm missing waking up to brilliant blue skies, the relaxed days stretching out before me.
The first coffee on the terrace when the sun isn't so fierce. The rhythmic sound of the sea, the balmy evenings with twinkle lights on the palm trees. *sigh*

Have you been on holiday yet, or are you looking forward to it in the next few weeks?

Before my hols, I was stood in the queue at the Dr's to collect my prescription. There was a lady at the desk who was explaining she was off on holiday on...
so needed her prescriptions a little earlier that month. She then gave the date she was away, her name, date of birth and her address. They are key pieces of information and yet we announce them to whoever is in the queue behind us.
Anyone think this is a bit mad, considering we're always being told to keep our personal data secret / hidden?

As robbery isn't my thing, I didn't go and empty her house whilst she was on holiday 😆 But someone could! Be mindful what you tell people and who may be listening. #wednesdaywisdom 😉

Anyway, if you're off on your hols soon I hope you have a fabulous time.

Hello! How are you lovelies?

We've just got back from a two week holiday in the sunshine. Blimey it was hot! 🥵
It's been full on for some months now, so a two week break to switch off was much needed!

But I've got to be honest, after a week and a couple of days my notebook came out and I was busy making notes and doodling new designs. I think the break from everyday stuff allowed my brain to start thinking creatively again which was so nice.

As much as we had a lovely time on our hols, it's nice to be home. But it's been a busy couple of days as the garden now looks like a jungle and I was washing, tidying and cleaning the house. One of my ideas whilst on hols was interior faffing as I like to call it. In the kitchen we have a large dresser type set-up and one of the cupboards has glass doors. In here we stored the 'posh' mugs ☺️ and enough glasses to host a party for at least 80 people. Why!? Why do I have all of these glasses on display? So I decided to have a little shift around. Most of the glasses are now hidden in a cupboard and I've put my lovely pretty bits on display instead. 💕 It looks a lot nicer now.

Well it's back to reality today. Working but also sneaking in a quick hair app as the sun has bleached my hair to Lego yellow. It's not a good look! 😆

We've just got back from a two week holiday in the sunshine. Blimey it was hot! 🥵

Hello lovelies, it's that time of year when I step back and spend some time with my family.

It's been a hectic year so far, some very fun things and some not-so-much but we're OK and looking forward to a breather.

It is OK to take a break and I'm the worst for just sitting, I cannot do it. But I'm ready for this holiday and intend to do serious amounts of not much, reading, having fun and a bit of planning! I can't not have my notebook by my side.

My shop will remain open for you to browse and buy, but orders won't be shipped until the week of: 28th July.

If you're better with house plants than me (and you probably are) I've got these gorgeous been planters in the shop. Three colours to choose from and all different sizes. But if you are like me and cannot keep a house plant alive for love nor money, then faux plants also look fabulous, and the white pot is handy for kitchen utensils.

With this glorious weather, it's all about enjoying being outside and a picnic makes me so happy! ⛱ 😎

The best picnics are on the beach - when I was a child, we would picnic on the beach every day of our holidays. We would take so much stuff with us to the beach for the day.

A huge 4 man dinghy which was usually fully inflated! Carrying that, the wooden oars, a windbreak, towels, buckets and spades, the picnic and a cricket set was a bit tricky, but it was all part of the fun and I have some brilliant memories of those happy times. 😍

I'm hoping to dodge the showers at the weekend as I want to pick some elderflowers to make cordial. It's gorgeous and it will easily mix with gin! So whilst it's pouring down outside we can still drink our summer cocktails indoors and watch a good film. 🎥🍸

Well I had an odd start to the week. Yesterday morning found me channelling my best David Attenborough whilst I sat watching two moles very busy digging up our lawn.

After about 30mins one of them surfaced and I picked him up and popped him in my washing basket and walked him over to the wood where I let him out.

Within seconds he was underground again. They’re strong little things!

So if you also have trouble with them, just give me a shout and I’ll pop round with my washing basket. 🤣

💕 Your home should be a sanctuary 💕

What do you do to unwind at home? 🧘‍♀️🪴

This week has been particularly painful (literally). As you know I like to exercise at home and have done for years. With the internet it's so easy to do a varied workout from your home. However... Last weekend I did a weights workout and a pilates sesh with weights. I must have twisted something as the next day I woke up and couldn't move.

I couldn't even turn myself over in bed. I was in agony and couldn't find a position to get out of pain. This lasted for days. 🫤

This evening I'm going to unwind with a lovely deep bath with some epsom salts (mostly magnesium) so I'm hoping to sleep better this evening too. I did want to try a bath earlier this week but couldn't get in it I was in so much pain.

It's beginning to ease thankfully. So if you do exercise on your own at home, please be very careful and don't over do it! 😳

Simple touches and subtle updates - Less is more when it comes to home decor.

BREAKFAST IN BED 🥞☕ ☀️

When was the last time you had breakfast in bed?
It's such a lovely treat isn't it. I can't remember the last time I had brekkie in bed.

And Sunday is the ideal day for a slow start and a leisurely brekkie in bed.
A nice coffee, a healthy dippy egg and a good book. Heaven!

I made the coffee yesterday morning so I'm hoping it's hubby's turn this morning.

☀ HAPPY SATURDAY ☀

How are we all today? It's been a busy day here at Cow Parsley Living HQ.

Kicked off with a coffee in bed. Whilst sipping, I could heard something knocking outside. (It's very quiet down our lane). Hubby looked on the security cameras and there was a magpie pecking at his car. It's shiny and the magpie could see itself! I found it funny - hubby not so much. 😆

Last night when we were sat in the "library" 😉 📚 our resident deer nonchalantly walked past the glass doors and up to the garden. So this morning we had to chase her out as she eats everything!

Then it was off to run some errands, including dropping off orders at the post office (thank you) 😘

A quick dash to the shops for BBQ food and then home to do housework and a few new product photos.

But as it's #IndependentBookshopDay I think it's only right to recognise this very important day by sitting down at some point to read. I love an independent
book shop. I can spend hours in a book shop.

And call me old fashioned but I still like to send a physical card. And sometimes a little gift too. 🎁

It can be hard though can't it, as you're not in their every day life you lose track about what they like and already have.

So a gift card, or a small thoughtful gift will always be appreciated. And if it can be posted as a large letter then all the better as they don't have to be in to receive it!

Friday Flowers - Foraged or bought! 💐

It's always nice to have fresh flowers isn't it. When I first started earning from my first job after Uni in London I treated myself to a small bunch of flowers on a Friday. My then boss was a nightmare and he paid me a pittance. I could barely pay my rent and I ate soup mosts nights, but my treat was flowers.

Surprisingly I only stayed in that job a few months and then got a fab job in a design studio smack bang in the middle of Covent Garden. It was brilliant! I could buy a bigger bunch of flowers on a Friday too! 💐😊

I've just realised it's the Easter holidays next week. They have come around so quickly! So it's time to get my Easter on!

I will be at the Spring Shop Small Event on Sunday 6th April selling Spring home decor and easter bits and bobs. I will also have with me a range of beautiful gifts and launching a new product too (if I manage to get it done in time!). I really hope so as I think you're going to love them. 😊

The Shop Small Event is brilliant! Full of small businesses selling the most gorgeous and high quality items. It has a real buzz about it and everyone has a smile on their face. All the stall holders are really lovely and enjoy chatting with their customers. 😍

I may even take the covers off the outdoor furniture today so I can have lunch outside. I know - imagine!!! 😲🤣

Now it's officially spring I'm in full spring clean and tidy-up mode. The sunshine is showing up the smears on my windows so they're on the list for the weekend. Joy of joys!

But I also love this time of year to have a little interiors refresh. Put away the blankets and start adding some greenery and accessories with a clean and fresh vibe.
